Six months of discipleship, community and mission
- three months in Denmark, followed by three months of outreach in Brazil.
LECTURE PHASE
3 months
The first 3 months of DTS are the lecture phase, which takes place at Sjellebro.
The focus is on getting to know God more deeply. Through teaching from experienced teachers from around the world, you will learn more about God, His Word and the world He created.
The lecture phase gives you space to draw closer to God, study the Bible, pray and worship together with the other students and staff. It is a season focused not only on gaining knowledge, but on growing personally and in your relationship with God.
OUTREACH PHASE
3 months
The final 3 months of DTS are the outreach phase, where you get the opportunity to travel to Brazil and put mission into practice.
The outreach will take place in Brazil. there will be opportunities to serve children and young people on the streets, work alongside local churches and minister to people in prisons, among other forms of outreach.
Outreach is a unique opportunity to put into practice what you have learned during the lecture phase and discover new ways of meeting people with the love of God.
The goal of outreach is to take what you have learned and use it to serve God by serving people - through prayer, sharing the Gospel and showing the love of Jesus in practical ways.

EARLY BIRD
Why this DTS?
During a DTS, you will be supported and challenged as you grow in your faith in God. You will become part of an international community where you get to know people from around the world who have all chosen to set time aside to focus on Jesus.
On Reach Brazil DTS, we will also prepare specifically for Brazil as our outreach destination. This includes learning about Brazilian culture and exploring how it compares with our own cultures.
Throughout the DTS, you will be part of small groups and have regular one-on-one conversations, giving you space for personal reflection, encouragement and discipleship.
DTS is also about everyday life together. Everyone takes part in practical responsibilities such as cleaning, cooking and other tasks around the base. You become part of a community where we work together, serve one another and share the responsibilities of daily life.
It is not only about what happens in the classroom. We live together, eat together, spend time together, talk about life and grow alongside one another.
What's a DTS?
Discipleship Training School - a six-month program combining three months of teaching with three months of outreach.

DTS is for you who want to go deeper in your relationship with God and get to know Him better. It is for you who are asking questions about who God is and what faith really means. And it is for you who want to use the gifts God has given you to reach people who do not yet know Him.

DTS combines three months of teaching with three months of mission, giving you a unique opportunity to set six months aside to learn, grow and live closely with Jesus.
After DTS
After the DTS, we offer students the opportunity to stay at the base for a couple of additional months.
During this time, you can continue being part of the community and serve alongside YWAM in Denmark.
For some, this can provide a more gradual transition out of DTS before returning home to everyday life. It also gives you the opportunity to explore whether full-time missions with YWAM might be something God is placing on your heart.
